Human rights promise rings hollow as violence against women persists

Nearly 30 years after South Africa’s Constitution promised dignity and equality for all, too many women continue to live in fear and face violence. Ending this crisis requires urgent, coordinated action from government, civil society, the private sector and communities to turn rights on paper into safety and justice in practice.
